PreClinOmics, Inc (PCO), a consulting and contract research organization (CRO) based in Indianapolis, IN, is dedicated to providing pre-clinical in vivo and laboratory services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Incorporated in July 2001, PCO specializes in the design and execution of compound (drug) efficacy, PK/PD, and other studies in animal models of disorders such as metabolic syndrome, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular anomalies, renal failure and cancer.

PCO has undergone significant growth since its incorporation and is becoming the CRO of choice for the above therapeutic areas. PCO now occupies a 20,000 square foot facility. This facility has facilitated the expansion of services provided while maintaining strict quality standards that clients demand and trust.

With over 10,000 square feet of vivarium, PCO can quickly respond to a sponsor's request for initiating a study. In addition, from the time of initial contact to the time data are finalized, PCO is in constant, seamless communication. Whether answering questions, quoting studies, refining protocols or reporting data - everything is client driven.

The foundation of PCO is rooted in the extensive experience garnered while developing and producing rodent models as Genetic Models (Gmi). Gmi developed and brought to market models such as the male and female Zucker Diabetic Fatty Rat (ZDF), the SHHF and the ZSF1. PCO also manages the placement of large animal studies. The in-house laboratory is capable of analyzing a broad range of endpoints and bio-markers required by our Study Sponsors as well as the harvesting and preservation of tissues and the coordination of their pathological evaluation.
