Our kidney package provides intravital multiphoton microscopy data of the kidney of one experimental and one control animal that would detect renal injury as reflected in:
- altered microvascular flow
- increased microvascular permeability
- altered rates of apoptosis
- inflammation
- reduced glomerular filtration
- increased glomerular permeability
- altered tubular solute reabsorption
- proximal tubule cell injury and effacement
- reduced tubular solute concentration
Our liver package provides intravital multiphoton microscopy data of the liver of one experimental and one control animal that would detect hepatic injury as reflected in:
- reduced microvascular flow
- increased microvascular permeability
- increased rates of apoptosis
- inflammation
For clients providing fluorescent conjugates of drug compounds, these studies would also identify the cellular and subcellular sites of drug accumulation, and identify local effects of drugs on each of the processes listed above.
